I finished my sophomore year of college! Four semesters down, three to go! I am more than halfway done with my college career...how crazy is that?! Not only was it hectic taking finals and worrying about packing up my apartment and moving out, but my family all came to California because my sister's graduation so I had so much going on!
The coolest thing that has happened in the past few weeks was seeing my brother and sister-in-law. They are the cutest couple and just angels! They are both in the air force and are based in Florida. I probably see them once a year, if that, but they surprised my entire family at dinner a few nights before my sister's graduation! I'm surprised I didn't cry...hahaha it was SO neat to see them and just feel the love all around :) I truly cherish the time I get to spend with my brother and sister-in-law and admire them so stinkin much! I brag about them allllll the time haha!
(My brother Aaron, my sister-in-law Cassie, Me, and Joshua!)
(My dad, Aaron, me, Jamie, Cassie, and my mom at Jamie's graduation!)
So the day after my sister's graduation, my family all came into my apartment and loaded everything I own into a moving truck to put into storage (out of state college student problems haha). We got it all done within two hours, including cleaning! I couldn't have done it without their help! So awesome!
The next day, we did the same thing with Jamie. We drove over to her house and packed up all of her stuff into the moving truck to prepare for our three day drive to Seattle, Washington! Holy cow...it was such a stressful few days, and two 9 hour days and one 4 hour day later, we were in beautiful Seattle! It was quite the journey haha!
View coming into Seattle!
I had been reluctant about going on a super long road trip, but I'm so glad I did! I got to see where my sister will be living (RIGHT on Lake Union, where the house boats from Sleepless in Seattle are!) and the life she will be living! I love you Jamers and am so proud of you and all you do!
On Sunday the 13th, I finally arrived home to Minnesota!
The home of Caribou Coffee :)
I'm all settled in at home, and have two job offers as hostesses, possibly a third! So I have OPTIONS! Amazinggg! Haha! I'm so happy to be home in my beautiful state and with my beautiful family, but I do miss my other life--my friends, my sister, and my Josh! However, within 6 days of being gone, Josh and I figured out a plan to get home to Minnesota to visit me next month! Counting down already hehe! And in August, I will be in back in California for my cousin's wedding by the ocean with all my family, including Jamie! But I'm cherishing this time here as it may be one of the last opportunities I have to spend at home for so long!
Last Saturday I made ^^these bad boys! Haha mini pink lemonade cupcakes! They were amazing and so cute! The recipe is on pinterest! I decided that this is the summer of pinterest--where the recipes I've pinned will start to be made so I can build up my scope of recipes haha!
Also, in very important news, I bought this super cute dress today! I was excited when I saw it because I love floral and I love that vintagey look with the top part and the lace! It was only $20 at Pac Sun! I usually do not even glance at a Pac Sun, haha but a year ago I found a great swimsuit on sale so I decided to give it a chance and I'm glad I did :)
That's it for now! Hope you're all enjoying this beautiful May weather! :)
